An introduction to the relationship of people to their environment and the design process necessary to create functional aesthetic interior space. The study of design theory using conceptual problem-solving methods. Emphasis on the basic elements and principles of design and use of drafting instruments required to translate design concepts into completed projects. (R only) (CE) Two hours lecture, four hours studio each week.
