An introduction to architecture, painting, sculpture, and artifacts in Western civilization and around the world, from the Paleolithic inception of painting and sculpture through the Middle Ages, including prehistoric, Near Eastern, Egyptian, Aegean, Greek, Etruscan, Roman, Early Christian, Byzantine, Islamic, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Pre-Columbian, Early Medieval, Romanesque, and Gothic art. (ARTD [GCP]) Assessment level: ENGL 101/01. Three hours each week.
